More top names join Product Design + Innovation 2012

Product Design + Innovation conference, 29-30 May 2012, ExCel London

Design heads from leading global brands Philips, BMW, Whirlpool and Bosch are among those added to the Product Design and Innovation conference as it publishes the full event programme under the title “Driving Economic Growth”.

Sean Carney, chief design officer and senior vice president at Royal Philips Electronics; Benoit Jacob, head of design at BMWi; Alessandro Finetto, senior director, global consumer design, Whirlpool EMEA & Asia and Christian Buetner, industrial design manager at Bosch are the latest additions to a line-up of more than 40 design and innovation leaders participating at the second annual Product Design + Innovation conference.

      McLaren Automotive, Samsung, Cisco, Marks & Spencer, Bang & Olufsen, Jaguar Land Rover, Morphy Richards, Bowers & Wilkins and Orange are among the many other leading brand companies that will be sharing the secrets of successful design strategy. Joining them on the platform will be some of the most innovative and admired figures from the world of design consultancy including Dick Powell, Gadi Amit and Morten Warren.

The conference’s Globalising Design session also features geo-case studies from Cathy Huang, President of CBi China Bridge. Huang looks at “Customer and Cultural Analysis for Successful Penetration” in China. She is followed by Manoj Kothari, director and principal stratgeist at Onio Design, who examines “Driving Growth with Insight and Local Connect” in India.

 

Shared Learning

 

 

 

 

 

Shared learning is the essence of the conference with sessions developed specifically to address the barriers that exist between consultancies and in-house design teams as well as other functions such as engineering and marketing. Insight will be delivered as genuine brand case studies, debates, Pecha Kucha sessions and panel discussions. Delegates will have several opportunities to network with speakers and peers during break-out sessions.
